If it’s a boy, I love the vintage cowboy look. Also thought about a puppy theme. But not sure yet. If it’s a girl, I don’t know what to do. Pink toile with creme colors is pretty and I love pink and green in a girl’s room.

If you are going to moving to a town house or apartment, you might not get to paint the walls. I would go for shopping for all kinds of fun bedding, wall hangings, and curtains to make an impact…

We decorated with Eeyore…just fits our style. Painted the walls a lavedar/blueish color.

I love my son’s nursery. We spent a lot of time ‘making’ things for it – the wall hangings, the curtains, the curtain rods (simply limbs from a tree), the lamp shade, and more. Because my husband is an avid outdoorsman, we went with a ‘camping theme.’ I love it because it is not blue. Nothing against blue, but having a boy, I knew I’d be seeing blue forever.

We went with a jungle theme. Easy to find tons of stuff to put in it. Might be fitting for the baby of tarzan and jane.

Those are lovely rooms. When my babies were small, I was renting so I could do much decoration. I bought some vinyl temporary border. I remember it was big puffy clouds with sweet bunnies you could place on or around it.

We did a gender neutral nursery, as we waited to learn the sex, but I have a suggestion: you may want to shop bedding for the crib first, and then build your room from that. I found myself really inspired by all sorts of bedding, and was able to discern a price range I was comfortable with from that. We found ours at Target – it was pretty, very soft and has held up very well – still looks brand new after a year! I didn’t want to spend a lot of money as I knew this was something that would be peed/pooped/puked on, but I wanted it to look nice as well.

Our nursery is decorated in jungle animals, but in muted colors. It’s all very calming, and when Madeline arrived we added lots of pink accents to make it a bit “girlier.”

We did a Lambs & Ivy Bright Butterfly theme for our girls. Had this one been a boy we were planning on a Jungle theme and I was going to paint murals on the walls.

I don’t really have a nursery theme, as we won’t have time to prepare it anyways. We’ll be moving and unpacking until I go into labor. Sucks hardcore! Anyways, I have requested my family and friends to pick items in colors in greens with dinosaurs and stars. His room will be decorated in dinosaurs and stars with natural/oak furniture, eventually. But a lot of this won’t be done until after he’s born.

We’re expecting a boy, I’m currently 25 weeks, and we plan to use an alphabet theme in the nursery. I’m going to get wooden letters from a craft store, paint them all differently (polka dots, stripes, diamonds, etc) and put them on the wall around the top of the room. I found a wall decal on etsy.com that has the alphabet for above the crib as well. We still haven’t decided if we want a blue or a green room for him, but should probably make that choice soon! I’m due in June.

The baby’s room is quite small, and will only have room for the crib, a dresser and a bookshelf, so I didn’t want to overwhelm the room with lots of design stuff. I’ll probably also use some scrapbook paper to make my own art to frame myself in the baby’s room.
