Last night one of my girl friends and I went to see the Pussycat Dolls and Britney Spears concert! I had such a great time and I remember the whole concert (thanks to not having alcohol).
As I was getting dressed for the concert, I felt a little silly. Like the 50-year old that tries to be “cool” and dresses like a 20-year old. Seriously, I did.
I asked Tarzan if it was dumb that I was about to partake in a Britney concert and he (of course) told me that I was being silly (good man). Something about having a bump just changed it for me. Like I would stand out in a very weird way. But I sucked it up and got ready to meet my friend for dinner, instead of drinks like it used to be. Oh how things have changed!
I was super excited for this concert. I know it may strike you as funny, but I love Britney. Even in her crazy days I was totally rooting for her. I like that she’s gotten her life (seemingly) back to normal and I hope that she continues to kick a$$.
At the concert I saw some other pregnant ladies and I felt redeemed, like it was perfectly okay for me to be at a Britney concert pregnant. Strange, I know.
When we got to our seats, there was this crackhead of a woman that was sitting down and she waved her hands at me and told me, “No! This seat is for my husband.” She was so completely out of it and it was way obvious. I told her, “I’m not trying to take your husband’s seat, I’m going to my seat.” Then she called me a b!tch. Nice way to start off the night!
I was surprised that someone would be so ridiculously rude, but whatever, these kinds of people do exist. Then I pulled out my camera and she noticed. She offered to take our picture, but I declined that offer. I figured she would throw my camera or something equally crazy. Then I told her, “I’m not sure what just happened there, but we were just trying to get to our seats, blah, blah, blah.” (I figured I’d be the bigger person since our seats were right next to her seat.)
Naturally, in her drug-induced state, she had no idea what I was talking about. Absolutely no recollection of previously calling me a b!tch and she just mumbled away saying, “It’s fine, it’s fine” over and over again. So strange.
Then the concert began…
The Pussycat Dolls were really great. I really thought that they were going to be a 1-hit wonder with the “Don’t Cha” song years ago. I never saw them getting huge, but I was wrong. Those girls can sing and dance and they put on a great show with tons of energy. Way better than I thought, although the baby was not jamming to them.
Next out on stage was a mixture of circus acts. There were jugglers, a gymnast that did flips on a board held by 2 guys, clowns, and tons more to look at. It was incredible! After the circus acts, Perez Hilton did a video for “the fine lady Spears” and it was crazy. It was all about circus activity, laughter, and freak shows.
Shortly after his video, Britney made her entrance in the air. There were acrobats, great dancers, great props to dance with, and it was just really an amazing show. Obviously she didn’t sing, but you don’t go to a Britney concert to hear her sing; you go to watch her perform and put on a show, which she did. And she did it amazingly well. So well that she got my baby dancing in my belly!
All in all it was fantastic! There were so many great outfits that she wore and so many places to look to keep entertained. She sang a good set of her songs and I was impressed! I would definitely see her again and if you get the chance, you should definitely see this tour! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Oh c'mon Kelly, you don't know what you're missing out on with skipping out on Britney! ;)
I would love to see U2 - Wonder if they are coming here? We love concerts too! I think you would be fine at 6.5 months. I do agree with you on everything being so different now when pregnant. There's a lot more to take into consideration!
