7 weeks pregnant (beginning): Morning sickness

in Morning Sickness, Mother to be, Pregnancy Week-By-Week

So everything I’ve been reading has been telling me that I’m supposed to be sick right now.  Morning sickness.  Strange because I’ve been feeling great.  No different at all really.

We went out with some friends last night and told them our news.  They just had a baby in October, so she’s a new mom and started asking me all different questions about how I’m feeling.  Just about the second she stopped peeing on the pregnancy test stick, she was sick.  (Clearly an exaggeration, but you get the picture.  Pregnancy was rough for her.)

I told her that I felt fine.  Normal, in fact.  No morning sickness.  No constant peeing.  No food aversions.  No cravings.  No extreme fatigue.  None of the pregnancy symptoms that you hear about.

Now I’ve also read that morning sickness usually comes between 6 weeks and 8 weeks of being pregnant, so I still have another week to get under my belt.  Either this is going to be a great pregnancy without morning sickness or it’s simply too early right now.  I’m really hoping for the first option.
