I had no idea that carpel tunnel was a pregnancy symptom! That makes SO much sense!

There's a website out there somewhere that gives you tips on getting your baby to get into a head down position if he (or she) isn't there when they need to be. I'll track down the URL and post again when I get my hands on it...It's a pretty cool site!

It makes me REALLY happy to see your comment on the c-section possibility ... I'm at increased risk of one due to petite size and baby has been in same breach position for last two months (still a few more weeks for him to try to turn though). I felt the same way as you when my dr told me that a c-section was more likely - "ok, whatever it takes for us both to be healthy!". I've gotten reactions from people about how I shouldn't expect that, do everything I can to fight it, blah blah blah ... but I don't think it's such a horrible possibility. Yes, I get that it's a major surgery, that you're likely to have c-sections in all subsequent births, that the recovery can be longer and more painful, etc. ... but it's not all bad. Less to worry about "down there" afterward and something slightly more predictable for labor & delivery, I might be just fine with that. Here's to healthy deliveries in whatever form they take! :)

I had an episiotomy with my first baby and it was not a fun thing. My sister went to a different doctor that just let her tear naturally and her tear healed a TON faster than my episiotomy did. With my second baby I did not tear and did not need an episiotomy. You never know what is going to happen at the birth. AND as far as things not looking "right" down there after birth--you won't give a crap once the baby is in your arms AND it all goes back to normal afterward. BIG reason you have the 6 week postpartum wait on "loving"--have to wait for everything to get back to normal!

Glad to hear everything is looking good!! I hope you don't have to go the c-section route. Vaginal births are so much easier to recover from!

I asked the same question about my upcoming internals. And my doctor said the same thing. I told my husband WOW, IT'S LIKE HE'S BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE.

My husband looked at me like I was crazy. But in our defense, it is the PERFECT answer. I understand =)

My wife had carpal tunnel when she was pregnant with our son, it took about three weeks after he was born for the numbness to go away. It was very aggravating for her. Glad to see things are going well.
