I set out to accomplish a small task today. Instead of accomplishing it, I came back home, after hours of looking around, and am disappointed and annoyed.
Really, how hard can it be to find one damn pair of shoes?
I thought that it would be a piece of cake: Go into a store, pick out a pair, and buy them. Easy.
Ha!
I went to: Target, Ross, TJ Max, Payless, Charming Charlie’s, Macy’s, Baker’s, and then I gave up and came home with no shoes in hand.
It’s kind of a big deal that I buy a pair of shoes because I need it for my baby shower dress. The dress is just a little too long, so I need a little heel. Everything, and I mean everything, that I saw were flats. Or really high heels, which would look dumb and probably cause me to lose my balance and fall on my ass.
Why not wear a pair of shoes that you already own, you ask?
Well, I would love to.
There are a few pairs of shoes in my closet that would be perfect for this occasion, but guess what? Being pregnant has caused my feet to grow in length. A lot. And as if that isn’t annoying enough, my right foot seems to have grown a little more wide as well.
All of my shoes in my closet range from 7.5 to 8. It’s seriously funny to see me try to put my big right foot in a pair of shoes that I already own. It’s quite laughable really… if you aren’t me.
If you are me, it’s really frustrating. I’ve never, and I repeat never, had a problem finding a pair of shoes while out shopping. In fact, it’s usually the opposite. I find way too many and have to scale it down a few. Oh how that would have been nice today.
I’m guessing that I’m going to have to just suck it up and wear a pair of flip flops with my dress. Sure they really won’t show because my dress is long, but my dress will also be dragging on the floor a bit. Nice and classy looking, I know.
Oh and on top of not finding any pair of shoes that could work, I was hot and felt a little dampness under my armpits. Oh yes, I kid you not. My armpits were sweating.
You have to know that I’ve never just been walking around (while not exercising) and had sweaty armpits. Oh the joys of being pregnant.
One wide foot, two longer feet, and two sweaty armpits. Sounds awesome, doesn’t it?!

You should wear shoes that you are comfy in, if it’s flip flops then embrace it. Maybe have your dress taken in a bit so it doesn’t drag.
