Hair Loss? Oh no.

by Jane on December 31, 2008 · 2 comments

So one of the side effects of my thyroid medicine is that it might cause hair loss.  What in the hell??  Hair loss?  Say it ain’t so!

I’m too vain to be okay with this.

I have great hair.  Long, great, thick, beautiful hair and frankly, I don’t care to lose any of it!  I thought pregnancy was supposed to enhance your hair and make it better than it was before.  Please send good hair vibes my way.  Please.

(I know this was posted a billion years ago, BUT I'm a first time momma who just found your blog and wanted to start at the beginning) Maybe this is your way to get rid of that excess hair side effect! All that hair growing in weird places will just fall right out!

I'm also on thryoid meds - do you have hypo or hyper? I've been on the meds since before I was preggers and I can tell you that my more hair comes out in the shower but overall my hair is still thick and looks great long. How has your hair held up?
