You really are my "due date twin"! I was saying the same thing to everyone....
My due date is July 23rd like yours but I was saying the 24th would be a good day because......
my hubs b-day is on the 23rd (of April) the baby can be the 24th & mine is on the 25th (of december) so the baby could be born on the 24th to make it in order...lol!

July 24th is a great birthday - my youngest sister and I share it! We were born exactly 20 years apart.

I hope he comes out of his (and your) own accord. Your belly looks amazing - I hope mine is in as good of shape in another 11 weeks. Good luck!

I wish you a quick and easy labor. I'm sure you'll do great, and now matter how and when he's born...You won't care after he's out and in your arms. Good luck, hun!

Yep, I agree with MVP on this one. The due date is just a rough estimate. The baby and your body know when 'it's time' I totally understand your feeling of time being up though. With my first, I went to 42 weeks and then was induced because NOTHING was happening. My cervix wasn't even softened yet. The induction took 3 DAYS, so she was born at 42 1/2 weeks. I'm not sorry about the induction, but there was certainly nothing natural about it. I was hooked up to IVs and catheters and everything so I couldn't get up.
Here's hoping things get moving this week for you Jane, so you don't have to go the induction route. Actually, from what you've posted it sounds like your body is getting ready so no need to worry! Excited to hear about your appointment today though:-)

Just remember, the EDD is only an estimate. Only 5% of babies actually arrive on that date. There's absolutely no reason he shouldn't stay in there a little longer. No one can force you to have a c/s or be induced. In fact, studies show, babies born after their due dates are stronger and healthier. And even in those last few days, they're making new brain cells. All good stuff!

So, please don't get too hung up on that specific date. If your doc wants to do any interventions, ask her specifically why it's medically necessary. I know you say you trust her, but you're the mommy - you're the one who's ultimately responsible for your kiddo's wellbeing. Many times, docs have another agenda - not saying yours does.

Good luck, I'm in the waiting game too, so I'm right there with ya, just trying to stay patient and let the babe cook as much as necessary.
