You are considered full term at 37 weeks, the extra three weeks are insurance. Also, going much longer than your due date puts your baby at risk of being still born or having it's first bowel movement which results in many medical complications. At 19 you should be more worried about living your life than posting ignorant accusations (poorly at that) at people you don't even know.

S.McLain

I am 37 weeks pregnant at the moment and cannot wait for my son to be born I want to see him so if I don't have him within a week or so I will definitely try this tea ... I'm pretty small and he is just getting too big for my belly its very tender to the touch. I hope your remedy works :) thanks for writing about this though

I am 36 weeks and not sure on the whole inducing labor, but i get pretty curious about it, only because for the past week has been very uncomfortable for me. At nights when it is time to lay down and go to sleep i feel figity, as if i cant get comfortable for nothing and end up just laying there hoping to fall asleep.I am really tired at nights and wish to sleep but end up losing sleep because i cant get comfty. I try everything but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any tips that might help this problem of mine. I dont know what else to do?????

When I was 37 weeks I used the tea remody. It worked well for me, went into labor 5 hours after drinking about 3 cups!! Lol... The tea I used......Lipton Bavarian Wild Berry....found at WALMART!!! Yeah I know....but it has the raspberry leaf and licorice root in it. I used 2 tea bags per cup, and drank 3 cups in a row over about an hour's time. I would add some sugar because it is kind of tart...but good. Good Luck!!

I'm 38 Weeks & 3 days. I've been having lower back ache and cramping for 3 days now not to mention my legs and feet being swollen long before that. I am so ready to get this baby out I want to so him already and he is not cooperating. Eveything is ready for his arrival and NOTHING! except this horrible cramping I can't even sleep at night. Rolling over to go the bathroom OMG painful. I Tried the sex, Red Wine, I've walked all of NYC and nothing I thought I was successful yesterday when I was having light contractions but still false alarm. I think I'm going to walk to the Supermarket and get the Pineapple and Red Raspberry Tea Leaf Next. I'm going nuts. Happy & Quick Delivery to you all!

Caster oil can be a good thing to use but i was told it is having more dangerous effects on women now. And was told not to take it to try and induce labor. Caster oil can make you very dehydrated.. for more go to this link and scroll down to just about the bottom of the page and you will see what im talking about, im not crazy i swear lol!

Spicy foods have been mentioned to help induce labor by many people but actually i guess it is a myth. Although it is seen to how it could because it stimulates your digestive system and is known to irritate it as well. Here is a web site i found talking bout spicy foods.

For both of these "methods" they dehydrate you, and dehydration for pregnant women is what starts your contractions.
