11 weeks pregnant: Feelin’ good

in Mother to be, Pregnancy Week-By-Week

11-weeks-pregnant-razorSo I’m 11 weeks pregnant and today is the first day that I’ve felt good.  When I say good, I mean that I cleaned the house all while dancing to Madonna and Britney.  I took a shower and actually shaved my legs.  OK, so when you are pregnant and feel like crap all the time, some hygiene might start to lack.

Not saying I’m proud of this, but I felt too nauseous to spend more than the 10 minutes it took to wash and condition my hair, let alone shave all the areas that had a ton of hair growing on them.

Seriously, it was bad.

Think of it like this:  My last OB appointment was December 10 at 8 weeks pregnant.  I shaved my legs before my appointment.  Today is January 2 and I’m 11 weeks pregnant.  You do the math and it equals a ton of grossness.

Now, just for the record, I’m the type of girl that doesn’t go an extremely long time in between shaves, so this was very out of the ordinary for me.  But, it didn’t bother me too much, which is surprising and I attribute it the fact that I’m pregnant.  I mean, that’s what it has to be, right?

I was too nauseous, too tired, and far too bloated to really care about my legs.  I’m knocked up and I don’t have to impress my husband with hairless legs.  In fact, I found a sick humor in making him feel how long the hair on my legs was.  Oh yes, gross and believe me, he didn’t want to do it.  He actually started the shower for me tonight and told me to shave.  Ha, ha.

So now I’m really clean and have the smoothest legs in the world…

and, I must admit, it feels NICE.

This made me laugh sooo hard! My first and most of my second trimester was MISERABLE. I had morning sickness something fierce. I couldn’t spend more then 5 minutes in the shower, and I agree, my legs got pretty nasty for awhile. LOL! Just wait til you’re popping out a whole lot and you have to pull off yoga moves to get TO you legs. It’s always a new challenge.
