One of my favorite parts of the day is the bedtime routine. It’s the same every night. After his bath, he gets his final bottle before bed.
He is always very sleepy while eating the bottle & mostly sucks the nipple with his eyes closed.
As a proud mom, I just stare at him & wonder how in the world he came from me & Tarzan, & give him a a few kisses here & there on the top of his head.
When he is finished with his bottle, I yearn to just keep him in my arms & savor the moment of a sleepy little boy in his mom’s arms. When it is time to put him in his crib, I scoop him up & we walk into his nursery.
When I get to his crib I kiss him on his forehead & say, “I love you sweet little angel”, kiss him again, & put him down in his crib. As I walk out of his nursery, I think God for blessing me with this sweet little angel.

I bet a mere 13 weeks ago you didn’t think it was possible to have those sort of feelings huh?! After my bout with PPD (and still struggling slightly), I shock myself with those emotions as well.

bedtime is also my favorite! my baby is 7weeks old, we are nursing, and she nurses and makes her sweet little sounds while laying snuggled in my arms with her eyes closed. It really is just the sweetest time between the two of us. Bedtime is just sooo much more calm. It’s only us two, my husband isn’t there with us and neither is my step-son and I can put all of my focus in her. Actually, tonight, I read her her first book. I think maybe we will read every night while she nurses. I t alk to her plenty, but tonight, she just watched me and stared for a while.
My fave is waking up time. He’s so mellow and just lays there, smiling at me and looking around the room. It’s so sweet.
