That video was the best! I like the one where the kid is walking offscreen to the left and the one where the babies are cuddling and the one with the old lady and her glasses. My husband and I watched it twice - because we realized there was probably music if we turned on the speakers. I haven't seen my 3-month-old really let go and barf like that yet. Thanks for preparing me for the inevitable.

You and Jane seem like a great team. I'm so happy you guys have kept writing. My son is just a month younger than yours, so it's nice to get a sneak peek into the next month! Keep up the good work :)

Wow what a story! My little chap was sick overnight a few weeks ago. We heard him cry out at around 9:30pm and he went back to sleep after about half a minute. When we went in to get him in the morning, we notice piles of vomit on his mattress! He was fine that morning (apart from having sick in his hair) so it must have been something he ate. What worried us was the fact that he could have choked on his own sick - and we wouldn't have known (although I think we would have heard).

I'm SO glad monkey is feeling better! We've been fighting very severe reflux and one day two weeks ago he was projectile vomiting like crazy. I was more freaked at the amount and worried about him dehydrating. And then we both were exposed closely to H1N1. When my guy started to run a fever, i FREAKED big time!! I think if we didn't worry there would be something wrong!

Tell monkey to keep those sweet smiles coming!!

This was a crazy read, reminded me a lot of Baby Cute; our son had all kinds of problems with acid reflux when he was born, & after breastfeading failing, & 3 different formulas--he's on Soy. He used to throw/spit up just like in the YouTube video you showed! It was scary & gross, & terrible. He's much better now, thank God. Glad Monkey is doing well again!

And I totally can relate to the baby smiling after he threw up too! Our son seems to laugh & smile so very much after he pukes, or has a dirty diaper, or anything that we find gross!! Babies are like that--adorable, but with a wicked sense of humor, hehe!

@Tarzan,

Thanks. Unfortunately, I think JSL has taken a delight in scaring Daddy. Not too long ago we were visiting my wife's brother. We were over at their house playing when JSL suddenly looked up at me, opened his mouth and looked like he stopped breathing. I yelled for my wife to come down, thinking he was choking, but JSL was just fine. He knew just what to do to make daddy panic and enjoyed doing it! Of course, I'll take playing to make daddy panic over his real sicknesses/accidents that caused me panic any day of the week.

I posted earlier this year about my four scariest moments and they all involved NHL or JSL. Children bring enormous joy into your lives but they can also bring levels of fear that you didn't know were possible. (Still wouldn't trade them for anything, though!)

@TechyDad ... Yikes, ambulance trips and 911 calls? For someone who panics easily, I can only image what it was like. Knock on wood we won't have to go through that - and knock on wood that you never have to go through any of those again either!!!

@RebeccatheMama ... You're not kidding about the formula smell when throwing up! I forgot to mention in the post above that after Jane and I put Monkey back to bed, we were walking out quietly and I saw Jane start to hop around on one foot. We walked into the light and she had stepped in some of Monkey's throw up that we didn't see on the floor! She was freaking out about how bad her foot smelt and we spent the next couple of minutes washing her foot in the sink. LOL!

@Judy from Toronto ... Yes, you're right. Just in case, keep a close eye on Natty for sure. We of course don't know 100% sure if it was the shots, but he's never thrown up like that before, so we're pretty sure it was a slight reaction.

@ Jessi ... LOL, yup! It was a strange feeling to go from all worried and freaked out to smiling back at Monkey when he was giving us all those smiles immediately after throwing up! It's one extreme to the other!

@ FormerlyMac ... WOW. You've had your hands full and not to mention the countless days/nights of worry with your baby being that sick that often. I hope those days are nothing but a distant memory for you guys!

@ Karissa ... Yeah, it hit Jane pretty hard. When she was crying while we were on the bed with Monkey you can't help but realize how much you love your baby. My father always told me and still tells me that as a parent, you'll feel emotions you never experienced or even knew existed. He's 100% right. Jane and I were both experiencing some wild emotions that night while making sure Monkey was OK.

@ MNM ... Yes, that did the trick!

@ Peta ... WOW. That must have been a HUGE scare. I can imagine you jumped out of bed so fast and ran into the room I bet you don't even remember putting one foot in front of the other and just flew! And the smack on the elbow - you had a rough couple of days! Jane and I have had some inevitable little Monkey bumps. When we was smaller and still trying to get head control, when holding him, he's sometimes head butt us pretty hard. That freaked us out and made us worry! But, these little babies are quite resilient. In the beginning we handled Monkey like he was a frail little piece of glass. When we'd bring him to the doctor or something, we'd think "wow, they are being so rough with him!" but we were just overly careful :) I'm sure all new parents go through that stage. Anyway, we're very glad that your baby is OK!! :)

@ Jillian ... I can't tell you how many times people on our blog here have helped us out. Also, people on Twitter have been a huge, huge help. Shortly after Monkey was born, Jane didn't have time or energy to be on Twitter so I took that over for awhile. I tweeted when I went to the store to buy things and so many people helped me out as to what I could get, where to get a good deal, and yes, even where to find things! LOL!

@ MVP ... Thank's MVP. Yes, Monkey is back to being a normal little playful smily Monkey.

You guys are very brave and clever for putting it all out there. It is such an incredible phenomena to think that you will not be blindly walking through babydom as so many of us have.

If only I had this vehicle when my three boys were born to help guide me. Your little boy will be taken care of globally, how cool is that.

Just come on by and visit my site if you are interested in finding out how funny your future will be with your little boy. Mine are only slightly ahead ages 5, 8 and 9 and remember: girls drool and boys rule!
