Giveaway #3: $100 JCPenney gift card & JCPenney baby registry review

by Jane on December 9, 2009 · 142 comments

jcpenney baby registryWhen I was pregnant I put off registering for my baby until the very last minute (or so it seemed).  I was intimidated by all of the baby stores & all of the baby things that I didn’t even know if I needed or not.  Not to mention I wasn’t even sure what some of these baby products did.

It seemed like baby products were a different language – Travel system, umbrella stroller, convertible car seat, and the list goes on and on.  I didn’t know what the heck any of that stuff was & I had no desire to find out until the very last minute.

One day I was out running errands & my husband called.  He said that he just received an email asking if I would like to register at JCPenney, online or at the store.  He said that they would give us a $100 limit to buy anything that we needed and then they would give us another $100 gift card to give away to a reader.  How awesome & I told him that I would love to register at JCPenney.

I opted to register & purchase my baby products online so that I could take my time without feeling overwhelmed in the store.  It was such a wonderful experience.  It took just a few minutes to sign up for a registry & then I could do research on things that I needed, find them on JCPenney.com, & add to my baby registry.

It was hard to narrow it down to what we still needed because JCPenney had everything.  Their selection of baby items is awesome & again, I was surprised!  The prices are comparative to any other baby store & the quality is great.  I ordered a changing pad, changing pad cover, & two sleepsacks.  I received everything in about a week & everything was exactly like it was described on their website.

Super easy!

If you are like how I was, you probably never even thought about registering at JCPenney. I’m not even sure that I knew they had a baby registry section before we were contacted.  But if you are expecting or just want to make it easy for your family & friends to buy Christmas presents, the JCPenney  baby registry is simple and I would recommend it in a heartbeat!

Check out JCPenney for all of your baby’s needs; I promise you won’t be disappointed!  And with the holidays right around the corner, just think of all the presents you could get for $100!  If you win, I will email the $100 gift certificate right over to you & you’ll be able to use it immediately!

If you want to win a $100 gift card to use at JCPenny.com, here’s how you can enter this contest:

I'd love the Pink Jacob Glider chair!!!

There is some great information on here for me to use for my baby registry, thanks to all your comments.

Oops, today is the 11th, isn't it? I've lost all sense of time lately, sorry! Hehe.

I'd totally go for a practical thing- an Eddie Bauer convertible carseat!

oops, forgot to post on Twitter...@sakimble

I would love to get the okie dokie newborn 4 pc set. Thanks!

Would love the
Sure and Secure™ Super Custom Fit Gate

Another giveaway will be posted today. It's an awesome prize from Barefoot Books. What could be better than $100 worth of hardback books and a tote bag? Check back later to enter this giveaway.

I also love all of their Carter's clothes. I always buy my 2 month old son's fleece sleepers from JCP. He is in the 80% for height, and quickly outgrows his sleepers.

I would use the money towards a convertable car seat.

Even though Gabriel is 3 months old, I created a registry because people STILL ask me what he needs! My username is kjfilkins@yahoo.com. I think. Anyway, thanks for all of these wonderful contests!

I love the toddler recliner.

I would love the video monitor, as we're about to transition our baby to the crib!

I'd get the Rothschild Newborn Pram. I had a late summer baby and he needs a coat now!

We'll need another car seat at some point, all we have is the infant car seat. I'd love the Eddie Bauer® Deluxe Convertible Car Seat http://www3.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=62438&...

I added the Graco® Milan Meal Time™ Highchair to my registry.

I love the Graco® Milan Meal Time™ Highchair.

I could use a bedding set for my 2-year-old's toddler bed, assuming he decides to use it. Maybe the Jackson design with the monkey on it!

I tweeted! I'm @haildixie

I would love to have the Cow Plush Rocker. It had a rocking horse as a child and loved it, but I would have killed for a cow!

Any soft blanket. My son always has to have a soft blankie with him and it's a nightmare when his is dirty and we don't have a second one on hand!

I also never thought about Penneys for my baby registry. Our son is 6 months old now, and we've started researching car seats for when he outgrows his infant one. I like this Eddie Bauer one:
