This was precious! Kudos to you for helping out, and despite the craziness, for enjoying it too!!

I'm leaving town for 10 days to audition for graduate school and my husband will be taking vacation to take care of our turkey. He doesn't know our routine well b/c he works a lot, so I told him I'll have to type up notes. I'm going to miss both of my men, but know daddy and baby will be a-ok!

Hugs to you three!

"little" one ... to get your fiance prepared, before you go to bed at night, set the alarm to go off at a random time like 3:47 AM without him seeing you do it. And do it every single night at different times. Tell him the alarm must be broken or something - and when it goes off, have him get out of bed to turn it off. Do that enough times, when your baby is crying in the middle of the night, your fiance will get up like it's second nature. LOL :)

@Emily ... LOL, socks and babies are an interesting mix. I have no idea how Monkey does it, but he always manages to get his socks off. He much prefers to be barefoot I guess.

@Madge ... I suppose many dogs are lactose intolerant. We asked our vet if it was OK awhile back when his addiction began and he said it's fine in moderation as long as there is no reaction or projectile diarrhea. OK I added the projectile part LOL. So yeah, it's fine.

@Peta ... Hmmm... I'm sorry to hear that your man isn't helping out. Maybe try saying, "Hey, I'd really like you to learn how to feed Paige, change her, and at least know the routine. I'm not asking you to do things all the time or everyday, but you know, it would be nice to have a 5-minute break every once in awhile. And you know what? It would help our relationship. It'll make it stronger. We'll also have a stronger family bond. So don't freak out, I'm not asking you to do things all the time. Just having you know how to do something in case I have my hands full one day, want to take a bath to relax, or just need 5-minutes of some good-ole 'me time', you know? It would really mean a lot to me if you took just one tiny step to help me out. Besides, it'll be good for you. There's nothing that wakes you up better than a really smelly poopy diaper."

:)

And if the above doesn't work, you can try: "You know, I saw a family at the mall today and the father was feeding their baby and helping the mother out. Wow. I just gotta tell you, that's the biggest turn on in the world when a man is helping his family. Wow. I almost couldn't control myself for a minute there."

That should get the conversation started. :)

I thought you weren't supposed to give adult dogs milk because it gave them diarrhea or something like that? Or is it okay in moderation?

Yeah, whenever my husband is holding our son and wants to do something like warm a bottle up, he always looks at me and says, can't you do it, I've got my hands full, and I say hey, how do you think I do it all day?? haha

And socks + baby legs reminds me of how he used to forget to take his socks off when putting his pajamas on, and then in the morning I'd take his pjs off and discover socks...he must have had nice toasty warm toes! :-)

@ Crunchy Nurse - Oh yes, I will. :)

@ My beautiful wife Mommy Jane ... Oh yes, I forgot about the coffee cup. I was trying to be so quiet and get a coffee cup and I pulled one of those juggling gigs. The cup fell out of my hand, I tried to catch it three times, it kept bouncing in the air higher and higher - the third time was just out of my reach and C-R-A-S-H! Glass everywhere. :(

At least time time I didn't put his Baby Legs on upside down this time - so see? I'm learning. :)
