A new camera is a must with a new baby! I got one with older son, and with baby #2, I updated to a DSLR.

I must have this camera now! The rapid fire shots sound PERFECT for babies. Obviously you know how hard it is to get ‘that’ smile you love so much. Or a cute pout that baby only does for a half second and by time you click the button the pout is LONG gone. Oh the possibilities!

@Baby Food Grinder … Yes it has. The thing that I noticed though is if you don’t use a flash and have lower light, then his movement will blur a little. But with the flash, it picks up his movement without the blur.

Congrats on the new camera – looks cool. Just wondering – has the new camera fixed your problem of freezing little monkey’s action? You’d normally need an SLR with decent glass to do stuff like that.

@ Jen … Yeah, isn’t it? It also can take ‘rapid-fire shots’ where it’ll take like 50 or 100 pictures in just a couple of seconds. Why in the heck we’d need that or when we’d use that feature, I have no idea unless Jane and I run a race and need a photo finish.

@ Peta … 2,000 picts already!? 2,000!? Whoa! But I know what you mean about taking a lot of picts to get just the right one. I’m famous for that, it sometimes drives Jane crazy, but then again, she’s the one who is in charge of downloading all the picts on the camera.

Very cool Tarzan I would be lost with out my camera 10 megapixel Panasonic lumix i love it my partner thinks i am crazy as I have a folder of over 2000 pics i have taken of our little one already, but her doesn’t understand that it can take several clicks of the camera to get the right pic. Glad you will be able to catch all the moments of christmas morning on camera…. 3 more days to go woo hoo

wow it automatically detects a smile!!??? wow! crazy feature! I asked for a DSLR camera for christmas so that I wouldn’t miss any shots with our future children..I guess this would’ve worked too!
