in Baby, Baby Toys, His Boys Can Swim

babys first christmasJane, Monkey, and Tarzan wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Jolly end of December!  Christmas time always brings an overwhelming amount of childhood memories rushing through me.  The excitement.  The happiness.  The joy.  Family. Toys.  Fun.  Some of my best memories growing up were this time of year.  And I know Jane and I will do everything we can to create the same magic for Monkey for many years to come.

Although Monkey won’t really understand what’s going on tomorrow as we’re unwrapping his presents with him, I know that tomorrow will become one of these days that I’ll never forget.  A baby’s first Christmas is so special.

Tomorrow, when we wake up, I’m going to cook Jane and I a nice breakfast.  Eggs, bacon, toast, and we also have some cinnamon buns that I’ll cook in the oven.  We’ll have Christmas music playing, and Monkey will be the center of our attention (as he always is).  We’ll then sit down by the Christmas tree and begin to open presents, one-by-one and show Monkey his new toys.  Jane and I will open our presents from each other, and then relax for awhile.

Actually, I’m excited out of my mind to play with Monkey’s toys with him, so I’m sure Jane and I will be playing with Monkey for awhile.  We’ll then make the long drive to Jane’s parents house and have Christmas there.  I’ll be excited to come back home so I can play with Monkey’s toys – with him of course. :)  Unless he’s tired and needs a nap, then I’ll just play with them by myself.

Anyway, I promised Jane that I wouldn’t be on my computer after 12:00 PM today and will not be on it over the next couple of days.  We need to run out and do some Christmas Eve stuff in a few, but just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Half of the fun of having kids is getting play with toys without people looking at you funny. That and watching cartoons without people judging. ;-)

Hope your holiday is a happy one!

Well chrsitmas has come and gone and Boy was it a big one this year…
My best most full on Christmas so far it is Boxing day night now and i am totally exhuasted… was wondering how you went with monkey my little one was onyl interested in eating the Christmas paper. first we made coffee and then we opened presents hte only present little one was interested in was this cool ball with smaller ball inside that has bells in it that our neighbor gave her she loves it. After me getting totally stressed my father arrived to take us to my grandparents house then disaster hit we lost one of the straps to the car seat for bubba and we had a 2 hour car trip to her place, after an hour we rang one of DH brothers who had a spare one and drove over to our place to deliver it, Christmas is normally hot hot hot in australia but not this christmas it was cold and windy and little one was not happy too much excitement she refused to sleep so screamed the whole time we were trying to sort the car seat issue out, once at my grandparents house all went well Little was given even more gifts in fact we were all given way to many presents. it had been 12 year i think since i had spent Christmas with my family so i was pretty worried about how it would all go but went well we stayed the night and were meant to get a train home in the morning but i didnt realise there was trackwork on and there were no trains we my dad drove us home, we then had to visit DH’s family so on a bus to visit them me and DH had a huge fight we were both very tired but we are now home and so happy we can finally relax and enjoy chirstmas as a family :)

Question since you had so many presents for monkey did you get any double up’s?
my got a couple hehehe
