Hi Roxanne!

Thanks for your advice. I completely agree with moderation being what's really important. Water sounds so good to me most of the time, and since that's probably the best thing I can drink right now, I'm happy with it. There are just some other times when I desire something more than water.

I'm glad that you like our blog! I'm going to check yours out right now. :)

I went off caffeine all together when I was pregnant and breastfeeding (my boy's 4 months, so I'm just now going back to consuming it by the gallon), but my doctor often told me that once you pass the first trimester, a bit of caffeine won't hurt. I drank tons of Gatorade but didn't gain any extra weight. The best advice I got though was that it's all about what you feel comfortable with. When you think about it, there are "risks" when you walk down the street and pass a smoker. Moderation is definitely key!

p.s. thanks for adding me on twitter. this is a great blog!

I'm a tea a holic and found some decaf tea bags and make good ol' sweet tea to keep in the fridge at all times (currently 21 weeks preg.). That, and I'm obsessed with OJ since this bun took hold of my oven (just thought it was so-so before).

Thanks for the great advice! I completely agree with you about moderation. Sometimes water just doesn't do it for me, you know? Good thing I'm not drinking so much juice and Gatorade. Don't want to gain any unnecessary pounds since I'm sure I'll be gaining a lot with the baby.

You can pretty much drink anything you want. I dropped off artificial sweeteners, but did drink caffeine. I drank pop, iced tea, juices, lots of chocolate milk (as I don't like regular milk), etc. Out of your list, you should watch the juice consumption (unnecessary calories) if you need to watch calories and the Gatorade - don't need to be messing with your natural balances if they're currently normal - too much of anything is what isn't good and most everything in moderation is fine.
