I was eating a pepperoni and pineapple pizza. I remember it so vividly. I was sitting on the floor in the living room, with the pizza on the coffee table. Trying pineapple on my pizza was the last “trick” to getting labor going. I ate pizza, the power went out, and then fell asleep on the couch.
I woke up to a wet spot in my underwear. I made Tarzan smell it to make sure it was the “real deal”, not just urine. I called my OB and was told to go to the hospital.
And then my world changed forever.
I held my precious little baby boy in my arms. I fell in love (well after some help from anti-depressants) and my life has never been the same.
Oh, it’s so much better! Sure it’s filled with toddler tantrums, activities, bedtime, bath time, but also cuddles, kisses, “I love you’s”, and hugs. My life is so much better now that Monkey is here.
And tomorrow at 6:37pm, he’ll be two years old. Wow. My baby is growing up. Happy Birthday, Monkey!! You’re the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you.

Awww, how sweet. It is amazing how much your life changes with a kid, but it is all worth it and the most amazing journey in life! Happy 2nd Birthday Monkey!
Thanks everyone! We had a great day today! Monkey got a lot of great presents and it was nice to be surrounded by so many family and friends. That little boy sure is loved!
