12 weeks pregnant: Yummy corn on the cob!

by Jane on January 12, 2009 · 8 comments

12-weeks-pregnant-cornWe weren’t sure what to have for dinner tonight, so we ended up throwing some random things together.  I bought some frozen corn on the cob last week and we pulled that out and added it to our dinner menu.

Um, it was delish!  Eating corn on the cob when pregnant is like the best thing I could put in my mouth.  Yum.

So much so that I ate 3 (they were only halves) of them.  I probably could have gobbled up more, but they were gone.  You can bet I’ll be buying a lot more at the grocery store tomorrow!

Jane, you are looking very, very, very beautiful tonight... come over here. I have something for you... ;)

@Renee: 2 lbs in a day?! Wow! Ice cream sounds good, but it's not something I want daily. I just like having it in the house in case I want it at that moment. Tarzan is another story though. He knows that ice cream is in the house and he HAS to have it. Ha, ha. He wants to lose some pounds before the baby comes, but I feel like I will be a bad influence for him. Oh well, I'm pregnant :)

@Playing Daddy: Too funny! When I first found out I was pregnant, I wanted a bacon cheeseburger so badly. Any kind of red meat sounded heavenly. I, too, have switched from hamburgers to loving chocolate, especially rainsinets. So good!

@Tarzan: Maybe I could hide the ice cream from you in the other freezer and just not tell you about it... Oh wait, that freezer hasn't been working lately. Oops, I tried. ;)

My wife is not much of a red meat eater but in the beginning of her pregnancy she wanted hamburgers and steak. I ate like a king. Now the cravings really revolve around ice cream and milk duds. Does it make me a bad husband to say NO or conveniently forget these items when I run to the store? I don't think so.

@Playing Daddy.... Great... that's what I was afraid of!

Ya...FYI...The ice cream will be a regular purchase at the store.

I seem to have a new craving every week. Food has never tasted better than when you're pregnant.

Haha, must admit (sadly) to listen to Tarzan about the ice cream. I didn't gain 2lbs. in one day for nothing.

Babe... I mean Jane... just PLEASE don't buy more ice cream! :)
