Almost all these say im havin a boy… funny thing is that i am having a boy. O and the first one about the heart burn has actually been proven true. a study was done and 82% of women who reported alot of heart burn had babies that had alot or a full head of hair. 83% of women who reported little heart burn had babies with little to no hair. weird huh… o and by the way.. are you havin a girl or boy??

I was sick all day for a while with my first…a daughter.I was sick all day/night the WHOLE pregnancy with my second….a SON!…13 weeks into this 1 and guess what …SICK!(all day again…sigh) I’m so sick of being sick…lol. Dont know what this one is yet tho.

I have something to say about the morning sickness. I have been pregnant 3 times and never had morning sickness. Guess what I had three times in a row GIRLS. My best friend has morning sickness her first pregnancy and she had a boy. So that old wives tale is not true lol. I three girls to prove it. lol

Cute list… made me think of my pregnancy with my daughter (which ended only 6 weeks ago).
We did the key test and the hand test and both came up with a girl. TICK TICK
Daddy and I didn’t pick a boys name at all, we settled with Ava and spent 38 weeks fighting over a middle name. TICK
I kept having dreams that I was having a little boy and I had to dress him in pink so all my baby shower gifts didn’t go to waste. TICK
I was carrying very round and very high (everybody was waiting for me to “drop”). TICK
Daddy gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy as I was so sick with morning sickness, and he used to finish my meals so food didn’t go to waste. TICK TICK

I think I may have been destined to have a girl… Lets hope it’s all opposite next time so we get the pigeon pair!

One (very Australian) old wives tale that makes me giggle is the “If a kookaburra sits on your back fence and laughs, someone in the house is pregnant”. I found out I was pregnant on the 23rd Dec and was going to wait until Christmas Day to tell my family but a little kookaburra decided to spoil my surprise… On Christmas Eve my mum heard a kookaburra laugh and looked out her kitchen window and saw it sitting on the fence. She turned to my dad and said “maybe Tania has some news for us”… the smile that came across my face gave it away!

Congratulations on your baby! I can’t believe I just learned about this only 20 minutes before your babe’s birth. Where have I been? Under a rock? What a cool concept! Thanks for sharing your wonder and joy with so many.

Regarding #10: I learned through natural birthing circles, that the hot water (sterile after boiling) is/was used by midwives to *ahem* support the perineal area (with warm wet compresses) in stretching and being more flexible just before birth.
