14 weeks pregnant: Vivid sex dreams normal?

in Mother to be, Pregnancy Week-By-Week, Second Trimester, Sex

14-weeks-pregnant-sex-dreamsIt’s been a funny week for me, sleeping-wise.  I’ve had 2 sex dreams and this is totally not normal for me.  At all.  I guess it’s all from being pregnant, but too bad for Tarzan that it’s not translating to actually having sex.  That’s another blog post though.

My first sex dream involved a guy.  No idea if it was my husband or not.  I don’t remember that part.  I do remember having an orgasm in my dream.  How strange is that?

The second pregnancy sex dream I had involved me (obviously) and two girls.

TWO GIRLS.  Um, strange.

I’ve never in my life had a sexual dream that involved the same sex as me.  This sort of disturbed me somewhat, but the real icky part involved my mom walking in on us three girls.  Ew, gross.  I’m highly disturbed by this, and can’t believe I’m sharing the information with you.

That’s the beauty of being anonymous though… and I love it.

I was even iffy on telling Tarzan.  Of course he asked normal guy questions and wanted to know details.  He didn’t think it was disturbing at all.  Of course he didn’t.  He’s a guy.  He thought it was really cool.  Of course he did.

So, uh, please tell me that these sex dreams are a normal part of pregnancy and that it doesn’t make me crazy that I kissed two girls in my dream.

And just for a moment… think about poor Tarzan, who over the last few days has had to listen to the details about Jane’s sex dreams… about her having an orgasm… uhhh, with two other girls (I’m keeping my mouth shut on that one) all the while I cringe in curl up into a ball because I’m going out of my mind.

Going out of my mind…

Going out of my mind….

Going… to … find that Victoria’s Secret catalogue.

LOL. Yup, been there, done that. So darn funny – how nice that you have an anonymous forum for this! The in-dream orgasm happened to me only once, but I spent the remainder of the pregnancy waiting for another. So did my husband, as I woke him up for seconds! ;)

Tarzan: Poor guy. Hang in there – she’ll be back soon. Really, really back… you’ll wish for a break!~

So funny!! I remember having dreams like me leaving the baby on a bus or going to work and forgetting I had a baby at home- LOL.
Sex dreams sound much more fun! I love that you can post about anything on your blog. This was a great idea for you!
Don’t worry Tarzan- she’ll be back soon:-)

Um.. sorry to tell you but your crazy…..

JUST KIDDING!!

Seriously though, enjoy those dreams for now because there will come a time during your pregnancy when just the thought of doing the actual “deed” makes your who-ha fold in on itself. =0) How’s that for a visual..

And uh, Mr.Tarzan. If I were you I would use all this down time to rest up because after her who-ha comes out of hiding it’s gonna come looking for you, all day, everyday!

Why do the ladies get to have all the fun? I haven’t had a dream like that since I was about 15 yrs old.

Thanks everyone for your comments! It’s so great to be able to blog about absolutely anything without anyone knowing who I am! It’s awesome! AND, so glad to know that I’m not the only one. Whew, I was sort of disturbed by the girl dream. I hope that all of y’all are right about coming back, for Tarzan’s sake, of course. :)

Oh and T, there are no VS magazines in the house. I don’t even bother looking through them anymore bc all the girls are perfect while I’m going to get fatter. Poor you, according to everyone else, you just wait!

That’s funny! All the sex dreams I had when pregnant with my first child were bisexual in nature – tendencies I don’t have in waking life.

@Playing Daddy… I hear that!

You’d think the way nature works, it would be the soon-to-be fathers who would have those dreams, especially during the first trimester to help us get through the dry spell! (Note: Obviously not the bisexual dreams!) Man, I guess we got the wrong end of the stick when it comes to dreams because my dreams lately have involved me having to walk 3-4 hours to go to the convenience store in the blistering heat. I’m wiped out by the time I wake up!

Dude, get this: last night I had an O in my sleep!! And the weirdest thing is that I was only dreaming about my husband, who I never dream about – my pregnancy dreams have been all about famous guys I dont even like, i.e. Mario Lopez. I had just read this was possible, but I am still shocked!

10 Jane 01.28.09 at 3:12 pm

Hey Katie – Good to know that I’m not the only one!

Too funny about your dream Paige! I can believe having the O in your dream. I bet your husband enjoyed hearing about your dream. :)

Great idea and funny. My wife is 10 weeks into our 4th pregnancy. She was hitting me up with sex dreams the other night. That always means she is ready to go in my house. What is with the dry spells for Tarzan? You should be tapping that all nine months, bro.

It’s not unheard of to hit the big O in your sleep while pregnant. That area gets flooded with so much extra blood flow and is so sensitive.

I did it with both of my pregnancies. Woke up feeling all warm and fuzzy.

During my first trimester I had sex dreams OFTEN and most led to having an orgasm. It was WEIRD, but, seriously, who is going to complain about a free orgasm, when sex is the LAST thing on your mind? lol, they stopped after the first trimester though.

14 Roxie 03.03.09 at 8:42 pm

i have had many of those haha
strangly enough i think i need to start watching something other than food network because the last one i had involved the guy from ace of cakes lol
even more strange he ended up falling asleep before it was over… wth does that mean hahaha bad enough I don’t get any in real life but when the guys in my dreams are leaving me hangin come on!!! (strangly it seems i’m the odd ball here i’ve had w really strong sex drive since i got preggo… always have though hahaha)
