Hi Judy – Wow, thanks for all that info/advice! I looked at your blog and there is so much information on various bras. I’m def. going to save that and go back to it. Thanks again!

Crysi – Sounds like you and I think a lot alike! I haven’t gotten to the point where things are cracked and peeling, but I’m sure that’s just part of the whole process. Although, it doesn’t sound like too much fun. Hope they start feeling better soon!

Surfer Jay – I’m sure that I’ll have to buy more bras throughout the next few months for sure! I wonder if they will ever stay one size post-baby.

Cindy – Pads are a good idea for when they start to hurt a lot. Thanks for that! You made me laugh about the Pamela Anderson thing – that’s too funny! And congrats on the boobies still looking up. I hope mine will be that way too.

Helen – I’ll definitely remember to wear a more supportive bra at night to help with the pain. That’s a great idea! I’m learning that VS may not be the best way to go.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding make your boobs do all sorts of strange things. They get bigger and smaller, sore and not-sore, swollen and hard, drippy and soft..LOL Everyone is different, but mine got HUGE after the birth and during breastfeeding, but they were always on the larger side. My mom has always had small boobs and she says hers didn't change much at all, even during breastfeeding. Haha...I remember having the always-hard nips and the aching feeling. I think I remember wearing a supportive bra to bed in the later months to reduce the pain from contact with the bed sheets too. You might want to try that. By padded bras to cover the nipple “problem”. You will also find that they make your hard boobs feel more comfortable. They will grow more and more. If you are going to breastfeed they’ll be ready explode every time your baby is near you
BUT, if you decide breastfeeding isn’t working… that’s when the real problems will kick in. You think your boobs are hard now? LOL . I was a triple Pamela Anderson when I stopped breastfeeding, but.. one day your boobs will leave you again.. I am lucky, mine are still looking up but they are far from big..

*should really get pregnant again or get a boob job*

It’s a wonderful thing isn’t it. Of course, you may have to go buy a whole new set of bras…again…post breastfeeding. My Lilly had to buy a whole new collection. Her original 1,001 bras don’t fit anymore. And she buys the expensive Victoria Secret ones.

I just wanted to chime in here and say that I really love Jane’s boobs… and it’s killing me that there is a five foot look but don’t touch rule in effect because they are sore. I feel like I’m being punished and I didn’t do anything wrong! Oh how I miss them…

Haha! I was actually studying my boobs this morning. I know, it's weird, but true. Mine are always hard too! So annoying when I want to wear a built in bra tank under a shirt instead of trying to stuff them into my bra (V.S by the way, too!). To make things even weirder, Adia and I were just about to head for Target for a few items, one of them being bigger bras! I can't help you on whether they get bigger and bigger throughout pregnancy. Mine never really changed with Adia and I also couldn't breastfeed. This time, things have changed. They're growing and they were already large to begin with and my nips are killing me! They're cracked and peeling and constantly tingling. I hope it's a good sign. Crysi’s last blog post..Adia Burrito

Everyone is different and unfortunately, there is now way to determine how much your breasts will grow during and after pregnancy. I have found that if you grow a lot during your pregnancy, you tend to grow less after the baby is born and your milk comes in – and vice-versa – but it isn’t a hard and fast rule. One of my favorite bras is the Bravado Body silk Seamless Nursing Bra: http://www.mothersboutique.com/bosisenubra.html – it is designed to “grow with you” – so as your body changes, it will still fit you.
