I need some serious help with Monkey’s naptime. I’m not sure what the hell happened from last Thursday until today, but we need to get back on track. For Monkey’s sake (& my own).
Last Thursday was the last naptime that I did with Monkey because Tarzan & I went out of town. Monkey was at my parent’s house & my mom didn’t say anything weird about him going down for a nap. & if he had had problems, I like to think that she would have told me about them.
Napping used to be so easy. If he was going to sleep in his crib, I needed to rock him. If he was going to sleep with me in my bed, I would just need to lay there with my eyes closed. But as of Monday, it’s a whole different story.
Now he [click to continue…]
It would seem that Tarzan & I have been blessed with our little Monkey. He’s such an angel & I feel lucky that he is such an easy baby. But here’s the thing with this post, I’m not bragging about what a good child he is, so I hope that I don’t come across like I am.
Many of you have asked about Monkey’s nighttime schedule, so I’m sharing this here. Hopefully something of what I say can help your child sleep better at night. Hopefully.
Also, even though I have a very easy baby right now, I wouldn’t [click to continue…]
I just got back from sitting in the nursery for a few minutes. I originally went into the room to get an idea for how big of a rug we need in there, but I decided to sit on the rocker for a moment and take it all in.
The room was completely still and I was surrounded by bags of baby clothes, toys, blankets, stuffed animals, and other baby-related items. I sat there and looked at the crib. In several weeks our son will be laying down in there and I began to think: In several weeks my life [click to continue…]
Even though I wanted to post these pictures yesterday, as you see, I did not get around to doing so. I wonder if the next few weeks will continue on at this pace.
It’s just been really busy lately. I’ve been thinking of stuff that we need to do now and probably driving my husband crazy.
I think this is what is meant by “nesting”.
Last night I decided that we [click to continue…]
This is the longest that I’ve ever gone without posting on our pregnancy blog. It’s not that I didn’t think of a bajillion things to talk about, but rather that we have been so super busy lately.
In fact, Tarzan is making us breakfast tacos for dinner (it’s 11:20pm) and we ate Quizno’s around noon.
Here’s a breakdown of our past few days:
We had some friends in town.
We bought our [click to continue…]
It’s a big day! I’m stoked to be about 32 weeks pregnant and I feel the nesting period starting to kick in.
Even though today has been a crazy day with cleaning and having company over, I also decided it was VERY important to sort all the many baby clothes we have and wash them. Can I just tell you that I’ve never been so excited to do laundry?
How weird does that sound?! I can guarantee you that those words have never come out of my mouth. Not even once.
Yesterday I stopped by [click to continue…]
Jane is now officially 20 weeks pregnant and we’ll be posting her 20 weeks pregnant belly photo today or tomorrow to continue our pregnancy week by week growing belly. Until then, I’ve got to say that I think today marks the beginning… the beginning of the whirlwind of looking at items we need for baby Tarzan Junior. I’m feeling overwhelmed already!
I think pregnancy week 20 will go down as the official week that Jane has started to seriously look at baby items – especially baby cribs. She sent me 48 [click to continue…]
