baby nursery

I just got back from sitting in the nursery for a few minutes.  I originally went into the room to get an idea for how big of a rug we need in there, but I decided to sit on the rocker for a moment and take it all in.

The room was completely still and I was surrounded by bags of baby clothes, toys, blankets, stuffed animals, and other baby-related items.  I sat there and looked at the crib.  In several weeks our son will be laying down in there and I began to think:  In several weeks my life [click to continue…]

Even though I wanted to post these pictures yesterday, as you see, I did not get around to doing so.  I wonder if the next few weeks will continue on at this pace.  

It’s just been really busy lately.  I’ve been thinking of stuff that we need to do now and probably driving my husband crazy.

This is the longest that I’ve ever gone without posting on our pregnancy blog.  It’s not that I didn’t think of a bajillion things to talk about, but rather that we have been so super busy lately.  

In fact, Tarzan is making us breakfast tacos for dinner (it’s 11:20pm) and we ate Quizno’s around noon.

Just when I thought I had it all figured out, I thought of something last night and now I’m doubting the room I originally picked as the nursery.  I’m not sure if it’s the “mom-instinct” starting to settle in or what, but I need your help please.

The original room that I picked is current our workout room.  We were going to move all the workout stuff out of there and into another spare room since it’s a bigger room for a nursery.  Tarzan and I have been in there talking about where to put the crib, dresser, and all the other things we need.  

I like that option.

I can’t believe that I’m in my third trimester and will be 30 weeks pregnant tomorrow!  I’m actually getting so excited about all of the upcoming changes and meeting the little man that I’ve been growing.  LOL.

Tarzan and I are biting the bullet and registering tomorrow.  Yesterday and today I’ve been doing my research online in hopes that I will know what I want to scan when I get to the store.  I hope that it will prepare me since I’ve spent so much time looking at baby stuff.  

I would like your recommendation on certain products and your opinion on what is truly needed.

Whew, I’m exhausted so this post won’t be too long.  

Tarzan and I are stuck on where to put the baby nursery for our son.  It always seemed completely obvious to us (and anyone else that can by our house, for that matter) that we would put a baby nursery (for whenever the time was right for kids) in the empty room upstairs.  

It’s a great little room that would be perfect for a nursery… or at least we thought that before I actually became pregnant.

Now, I wonder if that room is too far away from our bedroom.  I know that the baby will sleep in our room for a while, but not exactly sure how long babies do this.  6 months?  9 months?   [click to continue…]
