I bet you knew this was coming at some point… The more I think about it, the more I realize how unprepared we are – and how much Jane and I have to do when it comes to figuring out what we need to get for Tarzan Junior.
I was just on Amazon.com looking at a book and before I knew it I was scrolling through the pages and pages of baby strollers and reading the reviews.
I just stepped into a world I never once spent one second thinking about…
There are like 40 billion different types of strollers out there. I don’t know if this is normal dad-to-be thinking, [click to continue…]
Jane is now 18 weeks pregnant and her belly is now growing by jumps and springs. Seriously. Her belly is growing faster than those weeds that grow like crazy on the side of your walkway in the summertime.
We were just looking at Jane’s pregnant belly week by week pictures and we’re amazed by the difference over the last few weeks. I mean seriously amazed. I know I keep mentioning that every week, but really, this is getting out of control.
I have to admit, the thought of going out to get another ultrasound has crossed my mind. I’m starting to wonder if our son was hiding [click to continue…]

Pregnant Jane ready for the ultrasound!
It has been a very, very long day for Jane and I! We both didn’t get much sleep at all because we were so excited about the ultrasound today. The day has been so long, I barely remember even writing the blog post before this one and had some good laughs at myself! So that means I’m either going crazy or I’m in need of much needed sleep.
The day started out pretty rough once we left the house. I’ll let Jane fill you guys in on all of those details because she was not nice to me. Yes, sadly I got to see the fire-breathing dragon again thanks to those pregnancy hormones [click to continue…]
Poor Jane couldn’t get back to sleep after I went to bed at 1 something this AM. I couldn’t fall asleep for a couple of hours. Jane came out here at 2 AM, replied to her blog post that has like 500 comments and watched TV.
Poor girl only got a few hours of sleep. I only got around 3 or so.
We both had crazy and funny dreams last nigh – both had pregnant people [click to continue…]
The journey to becoming a father is a strange one at times; I’ll give it that. All of the realizations, thoughts, feelings, and more that I’ve shared on our pregnancy blog over the last month and a half have all been big… but not as big as what is about to come.
On Wednesday, Pregnant Jane will have an ultrasound and we’ll learn if we’re having a boy or girl.
On Wednesday, our current “baby” will become our son or daughter.
On Wednesday, everything officially becomes REAL for me! Ahhhhhh!
I think for a pregnant women, [click to continue…]
How’s that for a blog post title for ya? Whew! Anyway, as Jane mentioned in her sneezing and peeing post, pregnancy week 16 has been VERY good for her. No nausea, no morning sickness, no headaches, no throwing up, just some hormone flair-ups here and there, and of course sneezing and peeing.
I’ll take her sneezing and peeing any day compared to all of the other stuff she was going through in pregnancy weeks 14 and 15. Whew! We had some rough days there.
Anyway, as I continue on this pregnancy journey with Jane, I’ve been noticing more and more pregnancy sympathy pains. I’ve blogged about them as they’ve hit me, so here’s a new one for you: [click to continue…]
As I sat there in court today, a thought popped into my head. And I bet this is a thought that all soon-to-be fathers have while their wife is pregnant. It’s one of those thoughts that just floats into your mind softly like a feather falling to the ground on a day when the wind isn’t blowing.
But then suddenly, when the reality of the thought actually hit me, it set off an explosion of worry inside of my head. Now before I get into this thought, I have a feeling you may be wondering why I was in court today, right?
Well, the reason I didn’t post on the blog all day was because the police, FBI, CIA, and others stormed our house this morning and took me in. You see, there is something that I haven’t told you yet… [click to continue…]
Obviously this is not a subject any of us likes to talk about, but we have to accept the reality that there are some bad people out there. Maybe my over-protective fatherhood mechanism is kicking in a little, or maybe I’m just being smart and safe. But the fact is, over 2,100 children go missing in the US each day according to the Instant Amber website. Yes, that is extremely frightening, but there is something you can do [click to continue…]
I’m not liking this new trend we’re on. When the clock hit midnight on the day Jane turned 14 week pregnant, she threw up like crazy. And now today, Jane hit the Sweet 16 weeks of pregnancy, and she rang it in by throwing up several times.
She didn’t throw up once up until she hit 14 weeks pregnant, but since that day – she’s had some VERY rough days and early mornings.
Jane started to get a really bad headache yesterday and during the night it turned into a migraine. The pain in her head was so bad it caused the nausea which in turn caused her to throw up. I was hoping that Jane’s Sweet 16 weeks of being pregnant was going to be a smooth [click to continue…]
