At 33 weeks pregnant I can't eat seafood anymore.I don’t think that I can eat any kind of seafood anymore while being pregnant.  It’s funny that it took being 33 weeks pregnant to finally make this decision.

Since getting pregnant, seafood has not even sounded good to me until Mother’s Day.  My whole family went out to eat and I ordered salmon and shrimp.

It tasted good going down, but then I noticed a rash developing on both of my legs.  I was itching like [click to continue…]

15-weeks-pregnant-bellyThis is it… the moment we’ve all be waiting for!  The 15 weeks pregnant belly photo is undeniable proof that Jane now has a bump-a-lump.

I’m actually quite shocked at Jane’s belly growth in just one week and I have a feeling we’re at the point now where her belly will be growing by leaps and bounds.

This is going to be a short blog post because Jane bought this new ice cream as you can see in her post below.  And you guys know about my ice cream weakness since Jane became pregnant!

Thanks for the ice cream recommendation!  Jane was such in a rush that she forgot to say thanks to the person who suggested it to us.  Feel free to post on this blog post or Jane’s and remind us who you were if you see this so we can say thanks gain.

OK… Jane just handed me a HUGE bowl.  I’m diving in… Mmmmm… I love having a pregnant wife. :)

That’s right, this pregnant girl is finally making dinner tonight.  I think it’s been the first time since I became pregnant.  Pretty crazy, right?

My poor husband.

Update:  Our dinner was nothing special or fancy, but I know that my husband appreciated a good home cooked meal and it was long overdue!

That’s all.  :)

pregnancy-cravings-for-cookiesIt’s a sad day for me today.  I just learned that Girl Scouts no longer go knocking door-to-door to sell those delicious cookies.  Since when?!  And what’s the reason?  Safety?

I guess I haven’t paid too much attention to the last time a little GS knocked on our door.  I’m guessing that’s because I wasn’t pregnant then and I didn’t want GS cookies SO badly.

It’s torture to [click to continue…]

pregnancy-craving-of-pears1The mere thought of veggies is enough to make me sick, especially broccoli.  Ew!  Lately I’ve been craving pears like there’s no tomorrow.  I have always been pretty eh on pears, but I LOVE them now.  Pears sound good at any time and during any thing.  They are delish and the only constant food in my life right now.  I love you, pears.

While google can be your friend, it can also be your worst nightmare for finding out some scary information.  At my first pregnant appointment, I had a ton of questions for my OB.  Below are my questions and my OB’s response: [click to continue…]

nausea-and-pregnancyShortly after Jane got pregnant, our new sleep schedule came roaring into our lives like an out of control circus elephant charging at a clown.

Jane had a rough night last night, as mentioned in my previous post.  Shortly after I went to bed, she was tossing and turning, sitting up, accidently hitting my shoulders, head, stomach, and pillow.  She got up, said sorry, went to kiss me, then head-butted me because it was so dark.

Then Pregnant Jane asked if the TV would keep me up.  I said no.  I could feel my body buzzing with exhaustion.  Nothing would keep me awake.

I guess she watched TV for awhile, as I work up another 10+ times while she moved around and gagged from time to time.

Next thing I knew it was a few hours later and she was getting back into bed.  I looked over and asked if everything was OK and she said she went into the living room and watched TV for a few hours so she wouldn’t keep me away.

So… we both got about 5 hours of sleep last night.  I mean… [click to continue…]

Good news and bad news.  Pregnant Jane is feeling MUCH better today!    No morning sickness or nausea!  Bad news is that just 5 minutes after I woke up she wanted a doughnut.  We don’t have any doughnuts at the house.

So what did I do?

pregnant wife's breakfastI drove to the doughnut half asleep to get my pregnant wife a doughnut.

Guys… I’m not kidding… it’s like every day you need to run out for something.  These pregnancy cravings or whatever they are called are no fun.

Now I can see why people say that husbands gain a lot of weight when their wife is pregnant…. [click to continue…]
