four month old pediatrician appointment

At Monkey’s four month old appointment our pediatrician told us that we should start rice cereal because Monkey was eating between 43-48.5 oz of formula in a 24 hour period.  The pediatrician handed me some handouts, answered any questions I had then, & we went on our way.

We tried rice cereal that day & Monkey didn’t like it.  At all.  I kept it up for a few days & he hated it equally each day.  In the handouts from the pediatrician I read something about oatmeal, so I decided we would try oatmeal to see if Monkey had a better response.  And he did.  He loves his baby oatmeal.
