18 weeks of pregnancy down and I am quickly approaching the halfway point. I figured this would be a good time to reflect on the past 18 weeks my belly has been growing and growing and share some often unspoken shocking facts I have learned since becoming pregnant.

Pregnant brain (AKA Preggie Brain or Preggy Brain) is a term that I learned from Jane back a few months ago. At the time, I didn’t think much of it or even how “pregnant brain” would make Jane a little clumsy and forgetful.
But now, it seems over the last week or so, pregnant brain has kicked into high gear for Jane.

I didn’t dare blog about Jane’s pregnancy hormone flare-up yesterday. But I feel safer today to share some details because Jane’s in a great mood (for now, and hopefully the rest of) this evening.

Mood swings. Friends warned me about them… but I never expected pregnancy-induced mood swings to be like this… Here’s the deal:
I had to go out of town on business yesterday and I gave pregnant Jane a call to check in on her in the evening. The moment she answered the phone and said, “hello?”, I knew that I needed to quickly plan my exit strategy.
