Here I am in my pink Hot Mama gown!
Finally, I found time to blog about my full labor and delivery story! It all started after a night trying to induce labor that was full of sex, sitting on the birthing ball, and eating pizza with pepperoni and pineapple.
Later that night, Tarzan and I fell asleep on the couch and love seat in the living room.
At 2 am I woke up to go to the bathroom and there was nothing unusual about that. I woke up again at 4 am to find my panties soaked and a circle of wetness that leaked onto the shorts I was wearing.
Hmm… Could this have meant that my water broke? I wasn’t sure.
I first noticed that it was a clear liquid, so no green there. (Yay!) I took a whiff to see if it smelled like urine and it didn’t. There was actually no smell to it. At this point, I was thinking that all signs were leading to the fact that my water [click to continue…]
Jane is now 21 weeks pregnant and over the last few days she’s been getting those “flutters” in her pregnant belly everyone has told her about. She was starting to get jealous of others feeling their baby kick at 18 weeks pregnant, and some even earlier! But pregnancy week 21 has brought many baby kicks and flutters!
Also, baby Tarzan is about the size of a beer bottle according to my handy Baby Size Guide For Father’s-To-Be.
In fact, this morning Pregnant Jane told me that when she went to bed last night baby Tarzan was kicking a lot – the most EVER! She wanted to see if she could feel it when she put her hand on his belly so she could yell up to me [click to continue…]
The more and more pregnant I become, the more and more I get hungry and need food immediately. Being 18 weeks pregnant isn’t helping because I’m currently starving and there’s only so much snacking that a person can do!
I love that I traded nausea, migraines, and throwing up in the first trimester for hunger in the second trimester. I really am loving food right now and I can’t get enough of it sometimes.
You know that I haven’t dared [click to continue…]
So I know you’re probably wondering about the strange title. While it is weird, being 18 weeks pregnant has brought on some fabulous things about pregnancy and a, uh, strange one that no one ever told me about. Let’s get to the strange one first…
Dampness. In-my-panties.
For real. I wish I was kidding, but what is going on down there? Why are my panties damp all the time? Well, not all the time, but more often than not. It’s strange and a new pregnancy symptom. I did some research and it seems like vaginal discharge (sorry guys) is quite normal during pregnancy.
Oh, is it?
Well I wish someone would have [click to continue…]
Time is going by so fast – our baby will be here before we know it! Jane is 17 weeks pregnant today and her belly is getting more and more defined. And according to some old wives tales, we’re going to have a baby girl.
Although according to how Jane’s pregnant belly looks, some say we’re going to have a boy.
Jane thinks we’re going to have a girl; she says that she’s stealing all of her beauty! I don’t think so – I think she’s getting more and more beautiful!
As for me, I’ve been going back and forth. Some days I think our baby is a boy, some days I’m thinking a girl.
BEST of all, for the past week Jane hasn’t had any nausea or morning sickness! So going into pregnancy week 17, all is well. The second trimester is rolling along pretty well the past week.
What do you think? Will we be having a boy or a girl? We’ll be finding out on Wednesday and will of course let you know!
I highly doubt Jane would be jumping on this right now, especially after the non-stop nausea and morning sickness today.
However, I thought I’d share what I found. It’s called, “Dancing Thru Pregnancy“. They’ve been around for 25 years.

Now obviously I don’t see Pregnant Jane doing anything like this [click to continue…]
I feel so bad for my wonderful and beautiful 14 week pregnant wife. She started to feel a little nausea and “morning sickness” kick in late last night. She slept OK, but shortly after she woke up this morning she was throwing up.
She then felt a little better and then the nausea kicked in again. She’s been in bed all day today throwing up.
I feel like a lost puppy dog. I don’t handle people being sick too well. I get really nervous, worked up, I feel so bad for the person (especially when it’s your 14-week pregnant wife!), and my stomach churns when I see or hear her.
She’s tried to eat a few things like [click to continue…]
Second Trimester! Today Jane is officially 13 weeks pregnant with our bouncing baby girl or boy. It blows me away how fast these weeks are flying by and it amazes me how much Jane’s body is changing being only 13 weeks pregnant.
Before I dive in, Jane wanted me to tell everyone “hey” for her. She will not be posting a blog tonight because hew 13 weeks of pregnancy is really kicking her butt. Her day started off good and then [click to continue…]
Shortly after Jane got pregnant, our new sleep schedule came roaring into our lives like an out of control circus elephant charging at a clown.
Jane had a rough night last night, as mentioned in my previous post. Shortly after I went to bed, she was tossing and turning, sitting up, accidently hitting my shoulders, head, stomach, and pillow. She got up, said sorry, went to kiss me, then head-butted me because it was so dark.
Then Pregnant Jane asked if the TV would keep me up. I said no. I could feel my body buzzing with exhaustion. Nothing would keep me awake.
I guess she watched TV for awhile, as I work up another 10+ times while she moved around and gagged from time to time.
Next thing I knew it was a few hours later and she was getting back into bed. I looked over and asked if everything was OK and she said she went into the living room and watched TV for a few hours so she wouldn’t keep me away.
So… we both got about 5 hours of sleep last night. I mean… [click to continue…]
Jane has been having a rough night tonight. Gagging, huge headache, and wanting and feeling like she needs to throw up, but can’t. Poor wife, I feel helpless.
What she has been doing and what seems to help a little is sucking on lemon head candy and also sucking on preggie pops and preggie drops.
They’ve been a bit of a help… I think. It’s so hard for me to tell what works and what doesn’t with Pregnant Jane.
After all, I’m a guy and I’m TOTALLY clueless as to what it feels like to have something growing inside of you, not to mention what nausea and morning (or ALL DAY) sickness feels like when you’re pregnant.
We ordered them on Amazon because the only place we found that sells Preggie Pops and drops is Toys R Us.
I know that I’ve said that Jane will be posting soon – and she will. Really! It’s not just me here! She’ll be able to tell you more about them and how well they work for her…
She has spent quite a bit of time going through her journal and typing out everything onto her computer. She’ll then move everything over to this blog… one of these days.
Feel better Jane!
And if you or you know anyone with nausea and morning sickness due to pregnancy, I highly suggest picking up a few boxes of the Preggie Pops or the Preggie drops. They must do something because Jane is in bed now sleeping. :) Or was it the crackers she ate? Or the ice cream? Or was it my goodnight kiss? :)
