Today it dawned on me that it is July 1st. Usually I do not have any attachment to the month of July. Oh, but this July is different and is the start of fabulous birthday celebrations to come.
My estimated due date is in 3 weeks. Three weeks!
Even if he doesn’t come out on his own by my due date, my OB will only let me go one extra week before she’ll want to get things moving. Even then, [click to continue…]
I went into the kitchen to have a bowl of cereal for a snack. I opened up the cabinet and took out the bowl. I poured the cereal in the bowl. (One of my pregnancy cravings.) Then I went to get a spoon. I opened the drawer and there was no spoon to be found.
Then I did what any normal pregnant girl would do: Went into the dining room and got a spoon out of our China.
Yes, I’m eating cereal in my Bed, Bath, and Beyond $8.99 bowl with a Waterford spoon that cost a lot of money.
Oh, I love being pregnant!
Conversation that took place between my pregnant self and Tarzan this morning:
Jane: ”I really want cake for breakfast. Is that bad?”
Tarzan: “Cake for breakfast?? Remember your doctor said to try and mostly have protein at every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cake is [click to continue…]
I have no idea what’s going on with my body when I eat green grapes. I LOVE green grapes, but am starting to think that they don’t really, um, agree with my since being pregnant.
I noticed this early on, but I thought it was because of morning sickness or because I ate the grapes in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep. Apparently that was not the case.
Before today, the last time I ate green grapes was about 3 weeks ago.
Just a warning, here’s where the TMI might start…
So I ate said grapes and [click to continue…]
Before I get into my review on the tasty treats I received from Vintage Confections, I wanted to explain what exactly I am doing with these reviews.
I’ve been sent a few things to try out from various people/companies and after I eat, use, or look at the products, I am going to do a review on them for all of you.
I hope it will cause you to try a new treat or product, and/or give you exposure to other baby-related items on the market. Either way, I think it’ll be a lot of fun and a win-win for us both! Who doesn’t love new things?!

18 weeks of pregnancy down and I am quickly approaching the halfway point. I figured this would be a good time to reflect on the past 18 weeks my belly has been growing and growing and share some often unspoken shocking facts I have learned since becoming pregnant.
Maybe I missed the memo that the Pregnant Fairy left on my pillow the night Tarzan impregnated me. Or maybe these are lessons that every pregnant girl has to learn the hard way. Either way, it’s been one [click to continue…]
The more and more pregnant I become, the more and more I get hungry and need food immediately. Being 18 weeks pregnant isn’t helping because I’m currently starving and there’s only so much snacking that a person can do!
I love that I traded nausea, migraines, and throwing up in the first trimester for hunger in the second trimester. I really am loving food right now and I can’t get enough of it sometimes.
You know that I haven’t dared [click to continue…]
For weeks now Tarzan has been forced to listen to me whine about a pregnancy craving that I could not have. A food craving that was not around to purchase. Do you know how hard it is to want something that is nearly impossible to get your hands on?
Well, that all changed this afternoon. I finally got some Girl Scout cookies!!!
Tarzan and I took [click to continue…]
All day long I’ve had a pregnancy craving for cupcakes. Cupcakes have been dancing in my head and screaming, “Jane, go buy me and eat me. I’m delicious!”
Naturally I did what any other pregnant girl would do: I searched high and low for cupcakes and went to buy one.
And by one, I mean three. And by three, I mean [click to continue…]
Throughout my pregnancy so far, even though I’m only 16 weeks pregnant, I’ve noticed a drastic change in my eating habits.
Gone are the days when I craved an apple and didn’t want chips. Gone are the days when I got dressing on the side (now I eat salad basically because of the delicious ranch dressing). Gone are the days when I didn’t have a sweet tooth.
Oh yes, I’m [click to continue…]
