24 week ultrasound and the little boy’s looking just great!

My baby is the size of a papaya right now at 24 weeks pregnant! He's growing! I posted last week about my OB wanting me to have another ultrasound to check the growth, anatomy, and “esp. cardiac”. I told you my worries about this and how Tarzan calmed me down. I really have a wonderful husband! Even though I was anxious when we got to the hospital, all of those feelings went away as soon as the ultrasound started.

Our ultrasound tech. was really great and explained so much more of what we were seeing than the other tech. did. We saw a lot more detail this time around too. We saw all four [click to continue…]

24 weeks pregnant: Can’t seem to shake this cold

Having a sore throat and a cold when 24 weeks pregnant is just awful! Go away! It’s awful to get sick, but pair having a cold with being 24 weeks pregnant and it’s the worst thing. I’ve only had this cold since last Friday, but it feels like forever and I wish it would leave my body. I don’t know what else to do.

I’ve been drinking lots of water and even green tea with honey and lemon, taking Actifed, resting, and I still have it. The worst part was the sore throat that I had. It was painful each time I swallowed and that’s no fun. You can imagine how happy I was when it went away about 2 days ago.

At 24 weeks pregnant I think it's time to retire my wedding band until the baby arrives. Today, at 24 weeks pregnant, I realized something.

It’s been a few days since I’ve worn my wedding band on my hand constantly. Really, I’ve only put it on to go grocery shopping or if I need to run another errand, but it annoys me because it’s getting tight. *Sigh*

Some of the pregnancy comments I get are so dumb that they have me speechless! I’ve heard how pregnancy comments and random touching can come your way during pregnancy. I always thought that it sounded very annoying, but it wasn’t until it happened to me that I realized how uncalled for some people can be.

I’m not sure where to even start. I’ve been compiling some random pregnancy comments and sights that I’ve heard/seen throughout the past week and I’m happy to share with you in no particular order.

Feeling sick at 24 weeks pregnant. No fun at all. Happy 24 weeks pregnant to me today!

I guess today marks V-day for me, which stands for viability day. This basically means that my fetus would most likely be able to survive with or without medical help outside of my uterus.

I’ve heard this is a big day, but I’m not celebrating just yet. I want my baby to stay comfortable in my uterus until the very end and then I’ll start celebrating.
