I don’t think that I can eat any kind of seafood anymore while being pregnant. It’s funny that it took being 33 weeks pregnant to finally make this decision.
Since getting pregnant, seafood has not even sounded good to me until Mother’s Day. My whole family went out to eat and I ordered salmon and shrimp.
It tasted good going down, but then I noticed a rash developing on both of my legs. I was itching like [click to continue…]
I’ve heard how pregnancy comments and random touching can come your way during pregnancy. I always thought that it sounded very annoying, but it wasn’t until it happened to me that I realized how uncalled for some people can be.
I’m not sure where to even start. I’ve been compiling some random pregnancy comments and sights that I’ve heard/seen throughout the past week and I’m happy to share with you in no particular order.
1. ”How many months are you?”
This comment poses absolutely no threat of a beating, but it’s what happened next that annoyed me. Yes, I will admit [click to continue…]
Whew, what a busy past couple of days it’s been this week being 21 weeks pregnant. Good thing that the second trimester energy is not a lie because I’m not sure how I would have functioned this past week. My favorite part of being pregnant so far has definitely been this past week. So many milestones have come with being 21 weeks pregnant and it’s been pretty amazing!
First, I wanted to give you a recap about the bachelorette party that I went to. I will admit that it was not as awful as I expected, but it was still pretty boring. Our night started off at dinner and of course I enjoyed the yummy Mexican food! It was my favorite part of the night! Ha, ha!
After dinner we went [click to continue…]
Jane is officially 19 weeks pregnant pregnant! Although for some reason Jane thought her belly shrunk yesterday (I blame her pregnant brain), her 19 weeks pregnant belly has officially reached the “pregnant phase”. (And as you can see by her 19 weeks belly picture, it’s definitely growing!)
Right now, baby Tarzan is the size of a softball according to my handy-dandy baby size week by week guide for fathers-to-be.
Today we have some BIG news to share with you! You see, every time Jane and I went somewhere together since she became pregnant, we’d see people look at her pregnant belly [click to continue…]
18 weeks of pregnancy down and I am quickly approaching the halfway point. I figured this would be a good time to reflect on the past 18 weeks my belly has been growing and growing and share some often unspoken shocking facts I have learned since becoming pregnant.
Maybe I missed the memo that the Pregnant Fairy left on my pillow the night Tarzan impregnated me. Or maybe these are lessons that every pregnant girl has to learn the hard way. Either way, it’s been one [click to continue…]
It’s a boy! I’m so excited! You know, as crazy as this may sound, I’m the last of my kind. I’m an endangered species of sorts. I’m the last male in my family that carries my last name that has any shot of fertilizing any eggs.
I do have one cousin who is around 35 or so, but if you’ve ever seen the movie Napoleon Dynamite and remember his brother… that’s my cousin. Not literally, but my cousin looks and acts like him. Don’t get me wrong, I love the guy, but I just don’t see him freeing his boys any time soon. Or ever.
I knew it was up to me to pass the torch. I’ve had a lot of talks with my boys and told them that they should really consider making a boy [click to continue…]
Pregnant brain (AKA Preggie Brain or Preggy Brain) is a term that I learned from Jane back a few months ago. At the time, I didn’t think much of it or even how “pregnant brain” would make Jane a little clumsy and forgetful.
But now, it seems over the last week or so, pregnant brain has kicked into high gear for Jane.
To give you an idea of how pregnant brain has it’s grip on Jane, here’s just a few examples of what has happened so far today… [click to continue…]
