sex

sex after having a babyYes, we’ve come full circle here.  It seems like years ago when Jane was 16 weeks pregnant and I was writing about her crazy hormones and lack of sex.  Back then, I never thought too much about what life would be like after Monkey was born as far as sex was concerned.

I mean, what’s the deal? The last time we were at Jane’s doctor’s office we asked what are some things we can do to induce labor naturally at home and she told us to have lots of sex.  I don’t know about you, but any doctor telling Jane and I to have lots of sex just secured me [click to continue…]

sex and pregnancy dvdPregnant Jane and I plan to get the reviews we need to do finished today – just in case.  I feel like I’m in pins and needles every single day lately and if we don’t get these reviews done, Baby Tarzan will be here before we know it!  With Jane being 39 weeks pregnant, I feel like her water is going to break at any moment.   And every morning I wake up, I’m surprised we made it another day without Jane going into labor in the middle of the night!

And speaking of labor, I want to talk a little about what got us into this journey.  Yes, it’s a subject that makes people blush.  Yes, it’s a subject that is often NEVER discussed during the beginning of a pregnancy while the morning sickness is [click to continue…]

Pregnancy not only gives you a belly, but a butt as well.18 weeks of pregnancy down and I am quickly approaching the halfway point.  I figured this would be a good time to reflect on the past 18 weeks my belly has been growing and growing and share some often unspoken shocking facts I have learned since becoming pregnant.

Maybe I missed the memo that the Pregnant Fairy left on my pillow the night Tarzan impregnated me.  Or maybe these are lessons that every pregnant girl has to learn the hard way.  Either way, it’s been one [click to continue…]

pregnancy-sex-where-is-it-anywayGood morning Jane.  Are  you surprised to see a blog post written just for you?  Well, I hope that you slept well my very beautiful pregnant wife.  I hope those cheese and crackers I brought to you before you went to bed helped ward off any nausea and morning sickness.

While you were sound asleep last night having dreams about who knows what (I think I know according to an article I’m about to share with you) I ran into an article written awhile back that I thought you may find very interesting.  Click here to read it.

Love,

Your Husband Tarzan

16-weeks-pregnant-bellyHere’s Jane’s 16 weeks pregnant belly.  It’s been fun watching and documenting her pregnant belly grow and grow and I can’t imagine how big it’ll get in the weeks to come.

Pregnancy week 16 so far has been pretty good… although as I recently mentioned in a blog post, Jane’s hormones are flaring up a lot more, and her mood swings are up and down faster than a crab fishing boat off the Alaska coast battling a severe storm in 21-foot seas.

Headaches, morning sickness, nausea, mood swings, cravings, emotions, and more are all coming together in pregnancy week 16 to create [click to continue…]

pregnancy-trendsOK, I’m going to put my neck on the line and say this: “I Tarzan, predict that we’re about to experience a massive pregnancy explosion – and no one is talking about it!”

This is NUTS.  While doing some research for a project this evening on Google Trends, I decided to play around with some terms since pregnancy is obviously on my mind a lot lately.

Now to be honest with you, I found some shocking trends on pregnancy, birth control, and pens… more on that in a second.  But first, I’m going to show you one of the most shocking charts and explain how all of these others tie into it.  Take a look at this: [click to continue…]

15-weeks-pregnant-ice-cream-loveI have high expectations for being 15 weeks pregnant.  I like to think that the whole morning sickness thing that happened in week 14 of being pregnant was a fluke.  My body keeping me in check, perhaps.

Yesterday and today have been great days!  I’ve felt good.  I haven’t had a headache.  I haven’t even felt nauseous.  It’s been a long time since I have just felt pregnant with no other side effects.  Yay for being 15 weeks pregnant!

It was such a beautiful day today in Houston.  It might have been in the 70’s and Tarzan and I went for a long walk.  Well, we went on 2 walks because the first one was a complete bust.  You see, Tarzan and I agree and even think alike on many things, but we are complete opposites on others.

For example, my husband thinks it is fun and relaxing to go in the middle of the woods (in Texas!  Hello!  We have snakes and other creepy things that crawl and bite you.)  There really isn’t one part of me that is a nature type of girl.  Yes, I like to feel “one with nature”, but maybe in a hotel with the woods surrounding me.  I’m that kind of girl.

Back to my story… [click to continue…]

weight-loss-while-wife-is-pregnantPregnant Jane let my secret out of the bag in an earlier blog post about how I’ve managed to lose weight while my wife is pregnant.

Little did she know that I was planning on blogging about this today and she stole my thunder!  That’s OK.

I’m glad that she didn’t reveal my top secret weight loss method I’ve been using to watch the pounds just melt away.

Now we all know what happens to the soon-to-be father [click to continue…]

pregnancy-laughsBeing pregnant definitely has its ups and downs.  Sure, the final result of popping out a baby out of your vag. is fantastic and totally worth any hell that you might experience throughout pregnancy, but pregnancy sure has its moments.

I was feeling pretty good today and decided that I just had to have a chicken salad sandwich with tomato basil soup.  It was a necessity, I tell you.

Of course I went and picked it up (remember, I don’t cook) and scarfed it down like it was going to be the last time I ate.  It was delicious going down at first, but then there was a point where I had to put down the croissant and regroup.  My stomach was telling me no more and it was tasting BAD.  I threw it [click to continue…]

14-weeks-pregnant-sex-dreamsIt’s been a funny week for me, sleeping-wise.  I’ve had 2 sex dreams and this is totally not normal for me.  At all.  I guess it’s all from being pregnant, but too bad for Tarzan that it’s not translating to actually having sex.  That’s another blog post though.

My first sex dream involved a guy.  No idea if it was my husband or not.  I don’t remember that part.  I do remember having an orgasm in my dream.  How strange is that?

The second pregnancy sex dream I had involved me (obviously) and [click to continue…]
